Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation Selects Mochila to Redesign, Launch Archive of American Television Web Portal

Los Angeles, CA June 29, 2009 -- The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation has selected Mochila, a premium content syndication technology platform and network, to redesign and launch the Archive of American Television's web portal, EmmyTVLegends.com. The site is expected to launch in early September and will be updated continuously.

The Archive has collected over 600 rare, in-depth videotaped interviews with televisions' biggest stars and industry legends.

"Mochila has illustrated the creative and technical know-how we so diligently searched for when choosing a web developer to design our site," said Archive Director Karen Herman, who oversaw the lengthy and rigorous selection process. "We are impressed with the company's high level of understanding of the importance of searchability within our long-form interviews."

Mochila is providing all website design and development including custom CMS components, extensive search capabilities, video transcoding, editing and hosting. One of the site's key features will be the ability to clip indexed segments from the Archive's thousands of hours of interview content, creating a more interactive experience.

"The Archive holds a treasure trove of incredible footage," said Mochila Chairman & CEO Benjamin Chen. "We are very excited to help make these valuable video interviews more accessible to the world."
