Mochila Welcomes Burl Osborne to its Media Advisory Board

MEDIA INDUSTRY LEGEND JOINS DISTINGUISHED GROUP OF ADVISORS AS MOCHILA GAINS TRACTION WITH ITS UNIQUE CONTENT MARKETPLACE

New York, NY [June 18, 2007] Mochila, the first global online media marketplace for print, audio, video, and photo content, is pleased to announce that Burl Osborne has joined its Media Advisory Board.

Mr. Osborne retired last month as Chairman of the Board of The Associated Press, an association that began almost 50 years ago when he was an AP reporter in West Virginia. Osborne is currently a Director at Freedom Communications, Gatehouse Media, and the Committee to Protect Journalists. In Mr. Osborne’s more than 20 years at Belo Corporation, he was Director as well as Publisher, President, and Editor of The Dallas Morning News. He remains Chairman of the Belo Foundation.

About Burl Osborne
Mr. Osborne formerly held several positions in the Belo Corporation: President, Publishing Division from 1995 to 2001; Director from 1987 to 2002; and Publisher from 1986 to 2001 of The Dallas Morning News Co., with which he became associated in 1980. In connection with The Associated Press, Mr. Osborne has served as Chairman of the Board from 2002 to May, 2007, Director since 1993 and as a member of the Executive Committee. Mr. Osborne also has served as Director and Past Chairman of Southern Newspaper Publishers Association; Director of Newspaper Association of America; Currently, he serves as Director of the Committee to Protect Journalists; Director of the National Kidney Foundation; Director of Freedom Communications; Director of Gatehouse Media; and Director of J.C. Penny Company, Inc. since April 1, 2003. Mr. Osborne earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia and a Master of Business Administration degree from Long Island University. He also participated in the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School.
